The days inch closer

So we are now out of our apartment and staying at a temporary house while we sell off what is left of our belongings. We’ve managed to sell all of our furniture, most of the major kitchen things. The only things left are my girlfriends shoes, clothes, and some dust collectors. So it’s not like we have to sell any of those things, but the extra money wouldn’t hurt. Since leaving my full time job, I’ve shifted much of my focus to any research and prep for our upcoming travels, and other ways we can make income on the road. »

Why I love Golang

Tmux and Vim

If you’ve ever worked with me or happened to pair program with me or maybe just stepped over to my desk to show me something, you probably know I love tmux and vim, and if you do not use them, you probably don’t know how to use my termainl. And even if you do, you probably don’t know my personal setup. This segment is just a little rant about why I love them both, and love them paired together. »

Free Time

In the past day and a half, I’ve gotten a lot of things done. Mostly nerdy type tasks, but some useful and productive ones as well. I have this free time because of the Thanksgiving break. But in the near future I will have tons of freetime. Well sort of. Free in the sense that no one is forcing me to do anything in particular. However it would be wise to use the time wisely and constructively. »

Getting Ready To Travel

So today is Thanksgiving Day. I am now back at my nearly empty house with realizations of our new life ahead. As we wind down our currently lives and gear up for our new ones, you start to notice different things. So I’m here, rubbing my belly on my couch (thank god it’s still here) and catching up on some fun youtube video from my subscribers, many of which specialize in the traveling sector, one of my favorite vloggers has posted a video of a break down due to her stress on the road. »
